Fourth time today... I'm binging obviously!
So I uploaded a video a few hours ago. When I checked it out online I found out that the format didn't work properly! Stupid me!
So the final was a PowerPoint show. It didn't upload like I thought it would so I went online and tried to figure out why. I found Windows Live Movie Maker and downloaded it here. So I did that and tried to upload again. Still didn't work.
Do you know how much information you can find just by typing "how to" into Google. It's brilliant I found pretty much everything I needed to know. Including step-by-step instructions and a video on how to turn something into a VLA (mp4) file so that you guys can actually see what the trailer looks like!
Yay! Since it took me a stupid amount of WT?ing to figure this out, I'll give you the right info so you won't have to Google like I did.
How to make a movie for Youtube and Blogger.
(and other things I'm sure)
I started with my PowerPoint. A twenty slide presentation that I saved and went woo whoo. Nope. It needs to be saved as a PowerPoint Presentation.
Then when I had that figured out I Googled how to make it a movie and came up with Windows Live Movie Maker (I think if you have a Mac it would be iMovie, but I'm not sure. See the opening post for the how-to-do-that).
I downloaded that and uploaded the files and voila... nope. I once again save it wrong. So I went back and went to "Save Movie" instead of "Save as". Very different as I found out. It comes up with a list. Choose "Recommendations" it will come up with the files you need. This a list from YouTube of files that are compatible so try and use one of these.
So that worked... finally! And I managed to upload it.
If any of this has been totally confusing here are a few links that helped me, so I hope that they will serve you just as well!

Supported YouTube Files
This one was a god send. You pick the file that you currently have and the software that you're using and voila. A step-by-step instruction of how to fix the misstep!
